It's our motto for a reason. Cheap sunglasses can do more harm than good: tinted lenses make your pupils dilate, and without real UV protection that means more harmful light reaches your retina, not less.

What UV400 means

Every Dammie lens blocks 100% of UVA and UVB rays up to 400 nanometres — the standard that actually protects your eyes from long-term sun damage. It's not an upsell; it's the baseline on every single frame we make.

Category-3 tint

Our sunglasses use a category-3 tint: dark enough for bright Dutch summers and southern holidays, while keeping colours true. (Not suitable for driving at night.)
